David was born in Charleston, WV an Esquires Fan. Having gone to Esquires shows "in utero" and later as a toddler, one could say he was "born an Esquire". David began banging on everything from an early age. Formal lessons began at age six. He played in many musical groups (marching bands, stage bands, concert & jazz bands, ect.) As a senior in high school, David played in the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. In college, he became a proud member of "The Pride of West Virginia" West Virginia University Marching Band. He continued playing with many bands around the Morgantown and Charleston areas. David welcomed the opportunity to join the Esquires and play music with his father in 1992. They have been laying down the "Esquires Groove" together ever since.
