Stonewall Jackson High School class of 1970. I was born into music and
traveled with my mother to clubs where she was a singer. My uncle was a
bandleader and played in big band sounds and sounds of the '50's. Began
performing in grade school and church and had my first paying professional
job with a band called the Arcades of Soul. I have performed with the
following bands: Ray Tyson and the Rolling Rockets, the Mike Fowler Band,
the King Curtis band and the Hot Ritz Band. I have written various songs
including "Sprouse is the Man." I joined the Esquires at the
beginning of the reunion in 1983 and have been a lead vocalist ever since.
I have toured with the Esquires in Russia and have toured with various
bands to the following countries: Egypt, Israel, Greece, Turkey, Spain,
Italy, Quam, Jamaica and England.
