The ESQUIRES' music represents the sixties RHYTHM and BLUES era with a repertoire of  songs recorded by such R&B greats as James Brown, Wilson Picket, Otis Reading, The Four Tops, TheTemptations, and many others. Their down to earth funky R&B sound reflects the individual members love for this style of music.

Formed in the early sixties, these nineteen year old musicians performed in the South Eastern United States Area for almost a decade, primarily for the college student "dance" crowds. After a twelve year hiatus the band reformed in 1983 and began performing once again to the delight of the now thirty to sixty year old audiences. They have performed with the Beach Boys, Three Dog Night, Chubby Checker, The Ink Spots, The Four Aces, and Jan & Dean since their revival. In 1995, The Esquires embarked on an 11-day whirlwind tour of Moscow, Russia where they performed at 5 of the most prestigious nightclubs in Moscow plus performed for a live television viewing audience of approximately 120 million.

The current accompaniment of instruments consist of a lead guitar, rythm guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, drums, bongos, congos, trumpet, and two saxophones. The band features one female and two male lead vocalists that provide audiences with a variety of vocal ranges. Combined with the addition of our six background musicians/vocalists, the band is able to produce a "Rich and Gutsy" R&B sound from the fifties do woop era through the nineties.
